Walking Trails and Picnic Area

We invite members of the community to visit Goddard Place, enjoy a picnic, hike to the springs, hold a group-building day on the challenge course, or just relax and take in the beauty of the natural surroundings.

The walking area is located at the south side of the Goddard Place property in a tranquil area near a creek. Several picnic tables are located near the paths and a number of wooden bridges allow walkers to customize the distance traveled.

The walking trails and picnic area are open and accessible to the public during daylight hours.  Trash receptacles and restroom access require advance notice --please contact us if you are planning to visit and will need assistance.

Absolutely no campfires without prior approval.

Challenge Course

The Challenge Course at Goddard Place consists of a combination of mental and physical activities requiring groups to work as a team to accomplish established goals.  By completing a series of fun and unusual elements, participants learn valuable information about themselves, each other, and the group as a whole.

Since 2017, the course has been enjoyed by many schools, churches, clubs and businesses for training purposes. As with all programs at Goddard Place, there is no charge for use of the facility by youth organizations, however we do have a suggested donation amount for businesses or other adult groups.  Reservations are required and all sessions are led by one of our trained instructors to ensure the safety of all participants.

The challenge course is suitable for ages 12 and up.
